In case you didn't notice: no separation of Church and State in Utah

Dennis Clayson, author of "Bigotry against Mormons apparently acceptable in Utah," (Opinion, March 21), doesn't live in Utah, and for that reason he doesn't understand the feelings of many Utahns.
We are not bigoted against The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints; we are tired of it's oppression.l When a governor and legislators of this state seek the approval of the LDS Church before they make laws on taxes, marriage, liquor, abortion and many others, they trample all over the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Freedom from religion.
Instead of voting for a leader, many Utahns vote for a religion to lead them. But, many others want a real leader and not a religion.
